A Thinking Man's Paradox

So i was contacted by the Lyndon LaRouche Campaign the other day... I had wanted some info on what he's all about, where he stands and why should i elect him for President, when i think that the office of President should be renamed to Proxy... The rep I spoke with goes by the name of John He told me that LaRouche wants to some how reform an already ailing economic structure by destroying it... atleast that was my impression of what he was trying to get across to me. The problem, he never gave me a clear answer about why?, or how it would work... I asked him "so does LaRouche want to tear the whole system down?" to which he replied.. "but it's already in shambles."
"So how do we fix it?"
"We put LaRouche in the Presidency."
If the Presidency is a FigureHead position, how is one man gonna change anything when the real power lies in the control of congress. Sure he would be able to veto bills but if he has no support in congress then what good would it be. Which puzzles me because then what good does that do us, the american People.
Although John is right when he told me that the problem as LaRouche sees it is that we need to be producers as well as consumers... Duh! Doesn't that make for a well rounded capitalist society? i thought so.. But what does being president have to with imports and exports? If LaRouche set up a controlled forum where the US must export more than we import... it becomes a totalitarian monarchy But Corporations will always go where the cheap labor is. And once a country becomes industrialized they move on to the next third world society...
So Mr. LaRouche I ask you: "How do you intend save our economy and our country when labor is always cheaper on the otherside of the fence?" Your just another asshole politician who's no different that Bush or Gore. You'll be a Proxy, not our savior. You just want to get elected.
